Adobe shows off the new flash
Not been much of an update lately. I have been busy diving my head in the world of ASP.NET, but more on that in another post. Over the last few weeks, Steve Jobs (Apple) has become pretty much a dictator. With the issue of anyone who makes fun of the Apple ipod /Iphone interface on American TV to ram-shacking the home Mr lam of gizmodo because of possession of the Apple Iphone 4g prototype.
Everyone in the web industry should know about the issue with Adobe and Apple? It seems a big turning point where Adobe has to prove Apple wrong about the instability of the flash environment. While I think some of Steve’s opinions are valid, getting rid of flash altogether seems a bit overkill. Again Steve tends to know what is best for us. (hint hint)
So now Adobe decides to focus on the android OS for mobile phones and demonstrated a near working version of the flash player for the mobile phones. I mean, if you want to prove to the world that what Steve is saying is complete crap the last thing you want to do is feed him more ammunition, right?
So Apple are saying why do we need flash now? with HTML 5, JavaScript and CSS3 support we can almost do anything we want. Yet after the big debate a couple of days ago Apple decides to produce an alternative to Flash. Are they contradicting themselves lately? or maybe they just do not like Adobe? Its probably a way to get rid of flash so Apple has an excuse to develop their own flash alternative all along.
The next few months should be interesting.
