You ought to seriously think about steering this site into a major player in this market. You clearly have a solid grasp of the topics everyone is searching for on this site anyways and you could potentially even earn a buck or two off of some advertising. I would dive into following recent headlines and increasing the amount of blog posts you put up and I guarantee you'd start getting some easy traffic soon. Just an idea, good luck regardless!

Yes, you are right. These sort of situations are targetted more on comments rather than contact forms. Having a question based authorising system is more realiable than a captcha. Took me 3 goes today to get into my email just because I could not read the google captcha code.

btw, you should update your twitter more.

For website feedback / Contact Us forms, I think it's best to have a question along the lines of "Are you a bot? Please enter 'no' into this box to show that you're not an automated spambot", then drop everything that doesn't have 'no' in that field. Much simpler than a captcha, which I get wrong all the time. You can even have a JavaScript alert that informs the user if they try to submit without answering it correctly.

Obviously it's trivial to get past if you really want to, but nobody really wants to spam your feedback form - they're looking for a Comments area they can stuff full of links to increase their PageRank. Even if they did want to spam this sort of area, it's quicker to find another thousand pages to spam than to modify their bot just for yours.
