The importance of Social Media Networking

Social networking is a love hate relationship with me and probably for a lot of people, but like it or not it is crucial for the modern day marketing. At the moment the company I work for does not include any form of Internet marketing and to my knowledge would probably avoid it like the plague. So one of my aims for this year is to integrate this strategy into our workplace.

The importance of social networking is communication with the client. A two or more way communication demonstrating your service and why it is the best. This can involve news articles about the company, blogs, Twitter, Facebook and much much more.

With so many ways of marketing your service, getting a good balance is important, not to over the top and always keep it on topic. No one wants to know how you got a new cat, or your girlfriend keeps moaning at you as this will push followers away and these followers could mean losing possible clients.

At this point now it is impossible to pass, and it won’t be going away anytime soon. So if you are part of a development company try and integrate social media marketing as part of your weekly routine and even if your boss tries not get involved argue your point across, with evidence on why.
